"Your License, Your Wings" - Inspires the Next Generation of Aviators

On November 29, the second AERO ASIA 2025 Future Day — AsBAA Discovery Aviation New Generation event, themed “Your License, Your Wings,” took flight at the Zhuhai International Airshow Center. Co-hosted by the Asian Business Aviation Association (AsBAA) and Messe Frankfurt (Zhuhai) Airshow Co., Ltd. (AERO Asia), the event welcomed over 100 participants, including university faculty, students, industry professionals, and families eager to explore the exciting world of aviation.
The morning sessions featured keynote insights from Zhang Chuanyong, Chairman of AsBAA’s Mainland China Committee, who discussed the “dual-wing” development of business and general aviation. Jack He, Business Director of ExecuJet Haite, provided an inside look at the critical roles of Fixed-Base Operators (FBOs) and Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) facilities through hands-on case studies, while Rolf Sturebr, founder of Smartflyer AG, captivated the audience with his journey from pilot to electric aircraft pioneer. A dynamic roundtable followed, where young entrepreneurs and aviation professionals shared how flying has shaped their careers and broadened their perspectives.

In the afternoon, the Aviation Knowledge Magazine’s 問天少年 (Aerospace Knowledge Youth) series led a vibrant family‑focused program on aviation science, featuring topics such as “Girls Love Aviation” and “Future Engineer Stars.” Deputy Editor of the magazine delivered an engaging lecture titled “Secrets of Civil Airports,” introducing topics from airport classification to the functions of runways, taxiways, aprons, fuel depots, and terminal operations. Using vivid visuals and interactive explanations, she sparked strong interest in aviation among young attendees. Australia’s first Chinese female aerobatic flight instructor, shared her inspiring journey from Shanghai to Sydney in pursuit of her flying dreams - breaking gender barriers and motivating youth to follow their own paths in aviation.

AsBAA Discovery continues to inspire and empower the next generation with knowledge, curiosity, and passion - nurturing tomorrow’s pilots, engineers, and innovators who will lead the future of aviation.

Special thanks to the Zhuhai Committee of the Communist Youth League and the event organizers for arranging volunteer students from Zhuhai Art College, whose strong on-site support contributed greatly to the success of the event.
